Gender Pay Gap Statement
Gender Pay Gap Statement
1. Overview
Gender Pay Gap analysis has been conducted for Jellyfish UK Limited based in the UK during the period of 4 April 2020 – 5 April 2021.
At Jellyfish, we strive to be a diverse and inclusive business and remain focused on encouraging a workplace and culture where all can thrive. As part of the One Jellyfish approach, Jellyfish continues to develop and improve the company-wide grading system that indexes salaries and salary increases, fairly and consistently across the business based purely on relevant skills and level of responsibility.
Globally, in 2020, the business saw an increase of business case proposals and promotions across the female population of the business. To help encourage equality, business case reviews are now completed by an independent panel based on the detailed business case information which excludes names and gender information, enabling the panel to decide based on the key outputs and achievements rather than any gender or diversity bias.
Jellyfish recognises that there is a greater proportion of males to females in the Jellyfish leadership team, which is reflected in the overall gender pay gap analysis. As part of the efforts to bridge this gap, Jellyfish has removed the pyramid structure within the business to open up progression opportunities to a greater percentage of the business.
As an organisation committed to fair pay irrespective of gender, Jellyfish will continue to build on actions and initiatives to reduce the gender pay gap, these include:
- Assistance in returning women to work following a career break
- Offering flexible working patterns which can be adjusted to help with childcare and shared parental leave
- Tailored courses and materials dedicated to Women Leaders: Mastering Influence, Power, and Authenticity have been created by Jellyfish’s Learning & Development team
Attracting new talent has always been a focus for Jellyfish, and we are an Equal Opportunity Employer through recruitment practices in accordance with our Equal Opportunity Policy.
Ensuring that gender equality and increasing the representation of women at higher levels in the organisation is part of our strategic diversity and inclusion plans. 2020 saw the impact of the Jellyfish Diversity & Inclusion Group, focused on supporting females, promoting and fostering company-wide diversity and inclusion through training and educational opportunities, raising awareness, and providing strategies and tools to advance diversity and inclusion excellence.
This statement and the gender pay gap report are true and accurate to the best of my knowledge and belief.
